Curiosities
DIGITAL SKETCHBOOK • Selected computational thoughts and experiments using openpose, lidar scanners, touchdesigner, slitcanning, Style GAN2, depth maps, arduino and other. Most of these sketched get updated frequently on my instagram.
VISUALIZING SOUND: SCHLIEREN PHOTOGRAPHY • Schlieren photography is a method used to visualize density variations in transparent media, or in this case, the differences in the index of air refraction. The imaging method was developed in 1864 to study supersonic motion and is now widely used in aeronautical engineering to photograph the flow of air around objects. With this method, I am attempting to visualize the invisible by using the pressure waves generated by sound.
NERF STUDIES USING ARCHIVAL FOOTAGE • xxx
EAST RIVER ROOFTOP MOVIE SERIES • Poster series done for a summer rooftop movie series with NYC friend made in collab with friend Shannon Lin and hosted by friend Bram Wasti.
SLITSCAN • of my friend Conner H. playing the piano.
SEM PHOTOGRAPHY • Microscopic study of a butterfly’s wing.
VIEWS FROM MY BEDROOM WINDOW • A series of 3D views from my bedroom window in places I’ve called home (as seen through Google maps).
INFINITE CITIES • is a generative story generator, which mimics the style of storytelling found in Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities. Through the study of text and inferences on how to tell the story of a physical and fictious space, I have made a machine which can create hundreds of new stories -- hopefully indistinguishable from the original model they are built off of.
JROD Main Stage Visuals • Documentaion of concert visuals commisioned by JROD for his mainstage performance at Thrival Innovation + Music Festival. The visuals were made using slit-scanning in processing.
DEJA-VU • Hand drawn animation.
METRO SKETCHES + MISCELLANEOUS ILLO • Selected sketches I did every morning on my commute from Madrid to Getafe for a duration of 4 months.
